At Clardale Farms, we raise and milk Holstein dairy cattle. While there are many breeds of dairy cattle, we have chosen the Holstein breed and value the many positive genetic traits of our Holstein cows.
We milk 690 cows 3 times each day producing roughly 6000 gallons of milk.
In addition to our milking herd, we also raise our own replacement cattle and have about 800 additional animals being raised to join the milking herd.
We are strongly committed to providing our animals with the best possible care and comfort. It's absolutely true that healthy and comfortable cows are productive cows. Beyond that, we have a personal connection and belief that the animals in our care deserve our respect and our utmost efforts to provide them with everything they need.
